Rock out with your socks out...

Yes, Chloë was at Coachella.

Yes, she was rockin' socks...with sandals (good god, I mean, wasn't it really hot there???)

And yes, this only makes me love her more.

Speaking of which, going back to those Saltwater sandals...for any of you lovelies who mentioned you already own a pair (or pairs!): considering the fact that I am a 7.5, and that they only come in whole sizes, and bearing in mind my brain sickness concerning sandals that don't fit pretty precisely, would you recommend I get a 7 or an 8? I'm leaning towards a 7 but I want to be sure I can actually shove them on my footsies...

i just bought a pair solely because of your first post. i'm a 7.5 too and the 7 fits perfectly. except the size on the box/bottom of the shoe will read 5. how britishy of them, without the co. even being british. anyway, i bought them at refinery on smith st.--one of the few places in brooklyn that have 'em. ok. enough rambling.

I am not ashamed to say that I am loving socks and sandals. I've been wearing them a lot! The only problem is that I got a sunburn and now I have fake pale skin socks. TERRIBLE!! I have to even it out or else be doomed to cracking up every time I look towards the ground.

I think it's safer to do a half size smaller, cause then the shoes can stretch but if they're too big, they're just too big.

I am a very consistent 8.5 and I believe I ordered an 8 and they fit well, a touch snug but I definitely wouldn't have gone up.

i never thought i'd see the day when someone could actually pull off the whole socks and sandals thing. xx

The leather is meant to stretch a bit after a few wears so I'd go with a 7. They are made kind of wide too. Make sure the site you order from though isn't selling a youth size 7, because that's really a women's 9.

And that last dress Chloe wore sets my heart aflutter.

Socks and sandals? whodathought that would ever be cool! By the way I live an hour outside of chochella (closer to the ocean, outside) and it was 103 here... So I don't know how she managed that.

I'll be honest, I'm not feeling it with the first picture. The black ones look ok though. Not something I'd try and pull off!

Yes I was waiting for you to find more photos! I'd only seen the second outfit until now and thought it made her look a touch like a man in a dress. but the first and third dresses are aMAZing.

at least her worst is nothing compared to what my brother looked like at coachella this year. shirtless and glowstick bedecked. *shivers*

anywho, i'm hoping my shoes fit when i go home to them this weekend. i'm a wide 7.5 so i am keeping my fingers crossed even tighter after reading all these comments...

wait, that guy chloe's with was one of the models for her recent line, no? or is this guy super well-known and i'm just oblivious as usual..?

I have saltwater sandals in a size 8 (but really women's 10) My feet can range anywhere from 10-11 in sizes. My toes come close to the edge of the footbed, but don't meet it or anything so I think you'll be fine with a size 7.

chloe generally rocks the world, but that is definitely not enough for me to endorse her socks with sandals. the black ones i guess at least look over the top ridiculous but the white ones look like she's just trying to show up in the "look at that fucking hipster" tumblr. love the black and white dresses though.

I'm usually a perfect 7.5 and the size 8 (says 6 on bottom) in saltwater sandals fit really well, but they also do stretch out, so i'm sure you can technically maneuver both

I am thinking I need to get me a pair of these Saltwater Sandals...haven't owned any since I was eight! They're the only sandals my mom would buy me as a child. We went to the ocean a lot, and they held up, where the trendy Jellies my friends got to wear were not only blister machines, but broke easily. Thanks mom for the style advice!

Also, just in case you've all forgotten, Seattle has been making socks and sandals cool since socks and sandals have existed. Wool + Birkenstocks is an everyday look for us. Miss Sevigny has only just caught on.

Thanks so much for the advice everyone! I think I'm gonna go with a 7, although now maybe I'll just go to refinery and try them on in person! I know they have them at Bird sometimes, but last year they only had red and brown, maybe I'll pop round and give it a look see...

And I definitely agree that outfits #1 and #3 are by far the best...hahaha, man in a dress, dude I totally see it. Ad I don't know who the dude is, research will now commence!

Man, I can't wait to go home this summer so I can carry on the proud NW tradition of sandals/socks. We've taken the art of layering to a whole new level, yah?

I want those sandals- are you sure they are saltwaters? They sorta look like birkinstocks. Does anyone know? They might be something totally dif. I was looking for a summer shoe and thats it. I love Chloe!

Martha is right. Those aren't saltwater sandals (though I love those too) she is wearing Birkenstocks. Rio I believe?
