Yesterday, I spent the afternoon doing a bit of modeling for The Loved One. Hanging out with Hannah is always a treat, plus I got a sorely needed dose of kitten love! As an added bonus, I think this might finally have kicked my ass in to gear to list a few things in my own neglected etsy shop. In fact, I just picked up a couple very Spring-y things today that I hope to list this weekend (hint: fans of ducks and flowers, rejoice!)
Uuugh, and just when I thought I was out of the woods--body aches, scratchy throat, here it comes, I can feel it! Being sick sucks, and it's even worse when you don't have anything furry to keep you warm (boyfriends excluded ar har!)
It's times like these I miss my two favorite dudes the most. Meet James (aka Jimbo, Jiminez, Jaimecito, Jimmy Jams, and of course, little Yimmy) and Fang (mostly just Fang...or Fangor.) Along with Chas, these guys keep an eye on my parents, hold down the fort, and occasionally leave a dead rat in the attic back on the farm. I only just convinced them this past visit (after YEARS) that I am not planning on dropping anything on them or tossing them out the window. I can only hope my hard work isn't forgotten next time we have to share the same bed.
Following in the (unfailingly well-clad) footsteps of Rhiannon, I'm guest blogging over on Minkette during the month of September! My first post is mostly about cookies...but also kitties and puppies! Wheee! Click through for your daily dose of twee ;n )
After my last post about wanting something leopard print, I started seeing it absolutely everywhere--guess it had already slipped into my subconscious, cuz leopard is sooooo hawt for fall you guys! Har. Normally that would sort of put me off it a bit, but when I saw this bag at a vintage store yesterday I just couldn't leave it behind. The little gold leaf charm sealed the deal.
Also, I had totally forgotten all about these amazing old sexy lady playing cards my friend bought me a few months ago. A purrrrrfect match.
A few of the last photos from my trip home, and it sure feels like fall today (actually, it feels a lot like we're back at the beginning of our rotten rainy summer...only this time the clouds don't feel quite so unwelcome.)
I found a link to this video on Hannah's flickr...and just about died. This place is sort of like the farm I grew up on, times approximately 1,000,000,000!
