The sweet girls from Bows & Bandits Vintage asked me to round up a few of my favorite pieces in their store at the moment--have a look! Plus, I absolutely love the selection of photos they chose for my little feature. Thanks ladies!!
A couple of days ago, I received the sweetest package in the mail, all the way from New Zealand. In it was a copy of the Frankie Photo Album, along with the May/June issue of Frankie Magazine and a (handwritten!) note from Holly at Frankie. Since it can be a bit elusive here in the states, I'm awfully excited whenever I come across Frankie (and back in February I spent quite some time in the Melbourne Mag Nation pawing through back issues!)
The Photo Album has been on my wishlist ever since I heard about its coming out. The photography in the magazine is always so perfectly gentle and tasteful, and I knew any collection they'd had a hand in curating couldn't be anything short of magic. Above are just a few of my favorite pages, but honestly, there isn't a bad egg in the bunch--not even close. Thanks Holly, and thanks Frankie!! And thanks to all the photographers featured in the Album for capturing such beautiful, simple, funny, strange moments for all of us to see.
We've only been in our new place for a few days and everything is still in complete chaos, but it's coming together bit by bit. We still need so much stuff though! Thanks so much to Camille for the tip about Ensuite, it's such an amazing trove of (Parisian!) inspiration, I can't recommend it enough.
For anyone wondering which lipstick I ended up buying for New Years, I went with Sephora Brand in It Girl. It's matte and quite intense on! My first choice was NARS Heat Wave, but the Sephora was half the price, and almost as nice.
Also, this American Apparel nail polish, a gift from Jacky, was everything I hoped for and more. Definitely my new favorite color, and it stayed put quite well, though I would recommend some sort of protective topcoat for extra longevity.
I absolutely love this cover (Abbey Lee Kershaw/Vogue Nippon February 2010.)The colors just make me so dang happy. Holy crap, I cannot wait for spring...or at very least for the spring editorials to start rolling out!
P.S. I officially reached 500 followers over on Bloglovin' today. That's crazy you guys! Thank you so much, every last one of you, Bloglovin' lovers or not. So I guess this might be a bit redundant, but in order to properly "claim" my blog, I have to remind you to follow my blog with bloglovin. No pressure though ;n )
Only thing missing? A ginormous package of Twizzlers, most of which I ate that night (I couldn't find any red rope licorice, and apparently they don't have Red Vines on the East Coast--can this be true??) After seeing the Crystal Stilts play somewhere out in the boonies, our evening culminated in a fuzzy trip down the McDonald's dollar menu. I guess some crullers from Mikita's would have been more authentic, but who's counting?
Also:
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? So what can I say except...gosh, thanks Alexa! You're makin' me blush!!

One of my favorite features on So Much to Tell You is their constantly evolving Top Ten lists--you can find them in the right sidebar, and they're always replete with wonderful little bits of inspiration. That's how I came across the website for this new magazine called I Love You. It looks really amazing, and I'm tempted to just bite the bullet and order a copy online, though first maybe I'll try and see if they still have some stocked at Opening Ceremony. Here's hoping!
