I know I know...just yesterday day I swore that if one more person asked me this question, I'd punch them right in the kisser. BUT...
What are you guys gonna be for Halloween? Alex and I are dressing up as Wayne and Garth.
Excellent.

films extérieur
I've been watching Guy Bourdin's eerie, hypnotic short films on repeat lately, after reading about this exhibition at the Bon Marche in Paris. I wish I could have teleported myself there, but in small consolation, most of them can be viewed in the "Films" section of his website.

One of my favorite features on So Much to Tell You is their constantly evolving Top Ten lists--you can find them in the right sidebar, and they're always replete with wonderful little bits of inspiration. That's how I came across the website for this new magazine called I Love You. It looks really amazing, and I'm tempted to just bite the bullet and order a copy online, though first maybe I'll try and see if they still have some stocked at Opening Ceremony. Here's hoping!

camille
I really love stylist Camille Bidault-Waddington, probably because she tends to dress her models the same way she dresses herself. She has such a wonderful appreciation for color, and she always manages to be playful and girlish without being cloying. Looking through the newest issue of Lula reminds me just how difficult a line that can be to tread.

I still can't get over the quality of so many of the editorials in the foreign editions of Marie Claire, and Marie Claire Itaila in particular--especially when compared to the version we get here in the States, which last time I checked was still totally crap, right? I mean, these were shot by Wendy Bevan for cryin' out loud! Tip of the hat, indeed.

Dagmar it's your birthday...
...happy birthday Dagmar!
It was my best friend's birthday yesterday--well, technically it still is where she lives, several thousands of miles away from me on the other side of this big stinkin' continent. Happy big 2-4 Dag, I miss you!! Hopefully I'll get your present sent off before Christmas this year.

stardust
"Woodstock" by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young is one of those actually really great but also helplessly cheesy classic rock songs that I always have to turn right up whenever I hear it on the radio. I just like the chorus anyways, you know "we are staaaardust, we are gooooldeeen..."
Anyways, this weeks been pretty stellar so far.

I recently had the honor of being the latest in a fine line of bloggers to complete Style Symmetry's Symmetry Seven. I'm mighty honored, and it was a lot of fun. Thanks Eyeliah!

buried treasure
Guh, ok, how painfully adorable is this??? I came across this charming video, a genuine 8mm school project from the 70's, by complete accident last night while Googling the accompanying song by Melanie. Alecwally23, I hope your sister got an A+!!

the A team
Ah to be young, beautiful...and a Chloé staffer! I love these photos from Jak & Jil of the Chloé team leaving the S/S 2010 show in Paris--the bags, duh, the little frills on that woman's white shirt...and the last outfit is basically perfection! I've really gotta learn some creative new ways to tie my belts.

frankly, frankie
Frankie Magazine is on a short(ish) list of foreign magazines that I reeeeaaally wish I could afford to subscribe to. In fact, the only time I've ever actually held a copy in my hands was back a few months ago when Hannah took pity on me and sent along a back issue along with the ever illusive RUSSH.
So, I'll definitely be adding their brand new Photo Annual to my Christmas wishlist. I can only imagine the gentle goodness that awaits in those pages. Below are some shots from a great old Frankie editorial I dug up a little while ago.
