Yesterday, I managed to make it home just before the sun started going down.
That's one of my favorite things about this time of year, we finally get more light! Though the more I think about it, the more daylight savings time is still a totally bizarre concept to me. What a completely artificial construct! Anyways.
My room faces west and a bit south, and I get the most glorious afternoon sunlight. Having yellow walls helps up the golden factor as well. Haha, and in this photo you can see my "kitty corner", a testament to how badly I wish I could have a cat...Also, yes there is a door behind my bed, one of three that lead into my room. Weirdest apartment, ever.

daylight savings always confuses me too...i feel very strange about it: "but where did that hour go?" gaah manmade time!

i agree about daylight savings. we humans rely so much on 'time' to rule our lives. it tells us when to do things, punishes us if we forget it, moves far too quickly, get's itself lost. think, crucial life changing events can happen if we're just a few minutes late. yet when we feel like it, 2 times a year we decide to change it around! and time becomes meaningless and you're reminded that it doesn't exist
light, glorious light! I love that portrait of you by the window. our house has three front doors. two of which don't actually open outside. the one that opens into the pantry has a mail slot too...
thats a lot of doors. you should get a kitten. maybe two. two kittens. they are good for the environment.
