Fake Christmas List, part II

My fake Christmas list, continued. Part I is here.

a)

swedishhasbeenscovered_super_high_black

It's really hard for me to settle on just one style of Swedish Hasbeens to wish for...but at the moment, these are exactly what I need to be clomping around in, paired with thick black tights and something short and flowy.

b)
dazed_and_confused

I still don't own the Criterion Edition of this movie, one of my all time faves...but it'd be a lot cooler if I did!

c)
70s style

Clearly, my decade of choice. This book looks amazing.

c)
moleskine_red_small

Even though I would just fill it with painfully inane things like grocery lists and notes from magazines I'm too broke to buy, an unlined, pocket size, glossy red Moleskine is truly a thing of beauty.

Last year, my sister bought me the most beautiful teapot from Roost. It's incredibly delicate, and the fact that I have made it almost a full year without smashing it gives me confidence that I could own something as precious as this Jonathan Adler whale pitcher. I've been a bit obsessed with it ever since I saw the butter dish in Domino ages ago. And there's a shoe too!

I'd love to know: what's the best/nicest/prettiest thing someone's ever given you for Christmas?

Your blog is such a breath of fresh air, so delightful and joyous! A real source of inspiration, thank you for your many morsels of goodness.

If you have a moment or two, please amuse yourself with my new creation. I would greatly appreciate the brief moment of adoration and any suggestions.

I've always loved the look of moleskines but was too cheap to buy one... but I got the red planner as a gift this year and I love it. The colour is pure gorgeousness.

Also, the cover of that 70s book made me smile with delight.

i'm with you on the Moleskine tip; i'm a list-maker to the bitter end so i actually like keeping all my little notepads around as one would an old journal/diary. telling relics, those lil guys!

oh god and the last time i got something i really truly wanted for christmas i was eight and got a beeeaauutiful vanity because after years of being a tomboy and getting scrappy with the neighborhood boys i was finally ready to accept that inner girl.

those swedish hasbeens are definitely on my christmas list (but in the natural color). i almost bought a pair in amsterdam when i was traveling (they were only 60 euros there!!) but i didn't want to carry them for the next month of travels. so i didn't. i wish i had bought them and shipped them home. i deeply regret this. ah, but my friend is going there soon, and i might make her buy them for me.

i always thought it was really nice when my mom got my sisters and i a christmas tree ornament every year. they are always so pretty or cute, and now i have a whole collection for my own christmas trees.

This was a birthday gift. My two best friends woke up in my house one morning a week before my birthday and told me they had to leave me to go on a mission, I had no idea what they were talking about. Later I learned this mission was stealing me lots of presents.
On my 17th birthday they woke me up by throwing rocks at my window at 2 in the morning, crawled in through the window and unloaded an obscene amount of 1920's amber glass medicine bottles with corks, 15 ft of Dubai silk trim in lavender color (sort of batik), a bunch of vintage photos, a cream beaded shirt, an old gold leaf jewelry box with hummingbirds painted on it and an old minolta. A few other things I can't remember right now, including sweet, sweet letters. Seriously, the best, nicest girls ever. Best gift of all time.

hmm.... when i was eight, i got a puppy, in an adorable christmas box, and it popped its head out the top... too tiny to jump out, it just tipped it over and tumbled out :) 13 years later its my favorite christmas memory/present.

and I highly recomend going after that Moleskine notebook, i once bought a knock off and I will never do it again, Moleskine is worth the money, i donno why, when open up to the beautifully minimalistic cover to the romanticaly clean soft paper, i am hit with inspiration, its like the pages are covered in magic fairy dust, haha. I now own 20 of them in differently styles and am looking to get a new one for christmas too!

I got a down comforter one year. It's on my bed right now and it's the best when it's chilly out.
You should go for the Moleskine, I have a couple and I love it.

Sometimes I wish I had the magical power to slip my hand into my computer screen or into a certain book and pull out the items that I'm in lust with.

No judgment, right?

I put the story of my weirdest/best present on my blog. Sometimes life is a lot like A Christmas Story...Even to a point that I'm uncomfortable with.

I didn't even know that such a thing existed as the Dazed and Confused Criterion collection. I mean, I'm not really sure what those essays would be about, but I'm pretty sure this would be an amazing gift for my boyfriend.

I think I might be getting those Hasbeens (fingers crossed!) from the boyfriend. Either the style you have here or the Peep Toe Super High. The lace-up boots are super beautiful, too! When we were in NYC last month I felt like every girl was wearing Hasbeens - and I was so jealous! Anyway, isn't Alex in Europe now? Maybe he'll snatch you the pair you desire right from the source?

Oh man I wish! I feel like the poor boy knows better than to try and buy me clothes, even if I were to tell him exactly what to purchase. But yeah, the style I posted and the peep toe super high are the very best! Sarah Jessica Parker has TWO pairs so you KNOW they're good ahaha.

I JUST came across the criterion edition of Dazed & Confused and now I want it sooooo bad even though I own the regular dvd!

The two-pack of the pink moleskines is definitely on my list.

Somehow I used to own TWO copies of the regular version of Dazed and Confused, haha, I guess one just isn't enough. It seems like there are so many goodies on the Criterion Edition that it's totally worth having both. And I really wish you could buy just the light pink moleskines that come in those packs, that shade is so indulgently girly, I looove it.

your christmas list is beyond awesome. That whale pitcher is genius! And I have to say, I love writing in new notebooks. It kinda... makes me feel fresh, if that makes any sense...
