Bassano del Grappa

Alex and I went and saw I am Love this afternoon. It was beautiful and amazing and intense and you do, indeed, need to "see it by any means necessary"! Honestly, just thinking about the ending is still giving me goosebumps...So, I thought this would be an opportune time to share some pictures I took during my trip to Bassano del Grappa back in June. It was such a bizarre whirlwind event that it all feels like a crazy, hazy dream--and heck, these photos are doing absolutely nothing to refute those feelings!

it's definitely on my list of films to see, and tilda swinton is god, basically, and isn't she speaking in italian with a russian accent in this movie? probably infallibly, knowing her ...
i'm glad it lived to the hype (well, the hype i imagined it had, in any case).

may i recommend trying to see "les amours imaginaires" by xavier dolan?

i've heard both "i am love" and this movie described as "lush", although i think it might be a bit lighter fare.

Wasn't the film TERRIFIC? I can't get over how much I loved it. In fact, I forgot to blog about it after I saw it but will now do that. The ending also gives me chills. Did you stay until after the little bit of credits at the end to see the lo-fi shot of them in a cave-like place? Indescribable.

oooo, i read some weird reviews for this movie, like "i know i was supposed to like it but i just didnt" and "it's visually stunning but ultimately meaningless" ... i'm going to disregard those and listen to you!

My boyfriend and I are a bit obsessed with I Am Love - we saw it twice at the cinema! Tilda Swinton is my hero.
