Oh man, I'm so in love with this Forestbound canvas carryall I found via Effie's blog. It's made of a salvaged 100-plus-years-old apple sack, and the leather is from a Swiss military backpack from the '30's. Uuuuuum. Yep, pretty much. 'Course, it's kinda a moot point since it's already sold out!
I'm always looking for alternatives to the same old grungy canvas tote I invariably end up falling back on. I just get so frustrated not being able to fit enough stuff into other bags--not that I'm that high maintenance, it's just that I like being able to say "no" to plastic bags while shoping as much as possible. Cram it and go, friends!

Yes, these are great! They look like they'll actually hold quite a bit. That's the problem with most of my bags. They can carry a book or two and some broccoli, but nothing else. I always end up left with a pile of vegetables and thrifted clothing to cart home in a bundle in my arms. No good.
Yeah, I saw these and I think they're excellent! I love the idea of creating something new out of antiques...
Really cool bag:)
I need a giant OIL CLOTH canvas tote that will repel all the grunge, dirt, coffee and various stains
A bag can really never be big enough. I've been toting around a hot pink patent leather one from Victoria's Secret that a small child could fit into for a year now and I just can't give it up (although it's quite a different look from this).
This bag is perfect! Great find!
