some day my prints will come

mixedprints1

I've been doing a lot of mixing prints lately--mostly out of necessity, since I seem physically incapable of buying solid separates...or singles for that matter. I don't own one dress without a print. Why is it so much easier to buy five perfect floral skirts than it is one nice black one? I ask you.

This wouldn't be such an issue if I didn't love patterned accessories so much as well! So in the end I say screw it. As long as the colors work, the prints will follow...and nobody will know that you didn't have a choice in the matter!

Haha! you totally got me on this one! I'm the same: lots of floral everything, not one solid thing! I do have some tees and tanks, but I've been working on it, if you know what I mean :P . As for scarves/bags, almost everything has a print on! But print stuff is sooo much more fun! And mix&match prints outfit are NEVER boring! ;)

I have the same problem! I keep thinking it's embarrassing - it sounds almost ridiculous in a way, but well, prints > solids anyday!!

i gotta come clean and tell you i bought boots like yours, dingos, but new (couldnt find em on ebay). AND somehow they snuck rhinestones on the buckles. do yours have rhinestones? i may just sharpie them out...
your prints are congealing harmoniously.

No, mine definitely do not have rhinestones! But yeah, a Sharpie should make quick work of 'em. I kind of want another pair actually, they make me feel like such a badass, heh, and I get tons of compliments. I see you got them in black...that's next on my list!

Oh P.S. I can't really take full credit for the title pun, sadly. It's from a joke that's been stuck in my memory since I was a wee tot.

Q: What did Cinderella say when her photos weren't ready?
A: "Some day my prints will come."

Haaaaaaaaa!

Though actually I was musing the other day over the fact that pretty soon this joke will be sadly moot and archaic and no one will even know what it means! Oh and also the world is going to end and we're all doomed, didn'tcha know?? Guh.
