My eeeeyes!

I have been putting off getting glasses for years. My eyes aren't that bad, or at least they didn't used to be, and over time I've gotten used to sitting in the front of classrooms and squinting a lot and even recognizing different people from afar by how they walk (yes, I am ridiculous). I've never been too pleased with the idea of having to wear something on my face in order to see, and I've never found frames that looked good on me. All the cool, kooky vintage ones I'm attracted too make me look like a buffoon. I tried contacts a while back, but they hurt so much that I just couldn't take it.

Point is: I finally found some frames I can stand! I got them at Fabulous Fanny's in the East Village (I spent more than an hour trying on just about every frame in the damn place. It was the third time in as many weeks I'd been there). Step two: get some lenses in 'em. Step three: learn to appreciate the world once more in all its piercing glory.
