Siri, I was thinking the same thing! I've been sharing your blog with my friends and even bumped into some random people who know you (mm, kyle from DAVIS ring a bell?). And your blog kills it- we are destined for a reunion!!!!!
Ahaha, Kyle! Remind me to tell you about the night I spent sleeping in a tent in his garage in the middle of January (actually, that's pretty much the story, but it was pretty bizarre) There's a girl here named Ann who I think might know you, I think she's from Davis or thereabouts? Anyways, the point is, YES!
I reach that point at least one time per week, but I blame my mood-swings for that. Luckily I've never tossed anything to the bin. (But I have sold some stuff I really miss, though.)
This is when wearing the same thing for a month will come in handy. Just ignore anything else and wear the plainest, dullest schmatte for a month (or in my case, banged-up jeans, clogs, and a t-shirt). Then open your closet and voila! Instant shopping spree.
Someone should create a wardrobe swapping community. People could post their size/measurements/height and then swap entire wardrobes with someone else for a predetermined amount of time. Wouldn't that be fun?
kirsten, i think they have that somewhere? i forgot the link.... sucks. but Teen Vogue is supposedly hosting a wardrobe swapping event sometime soon in NYC, I'm going to that even though I'm a bit skeptical at the goods there.
I completely feel your pain on the wardrobe blandness front. Thats why I keep my wardrobe messy so when I find something I haven't seen in awhile I'm like "WOW TOTALLY NEW" and I wear that. And then back it goes into the abyss.
Haha, belle that's basically what I do too. Seriously, I moved to NYC in August and I still have half my shit in a suitcase on the floor, it's like a big, soft cesspool...and what's this about a Teen Vogue clothing swap? Skeptical, yes, but I'm so there!
Oh, and there are swap communities on flickr, I traded a couple things last year but it's kinda a hassle. Nice idea though!

I often reach that point but, sometimes, you just have to wear your clothes in a new way to love them again...
