These are called 'canelle' in the states?
Because cannelle means cinnamon in French and these little cakes are called 'Cannelés'...
They are so delicious!

On further investigation, there seems to be general confusion over how to spell them here, but Sweet Harvest Moon is right: it's canelés (just one "n" though I think??) Duly noted and corrected! :n )
