READY TO GO

packing4

In just a few short hours, I'll be boarding a big hunk of steel and going up into the air and, eventually, winding up on the other side of the country. Here is my travel outfit, carefully selected this afternoon. The only bummer about wearing sandals to the airport is having to walk barefoot through the security gate (gross I know, but I buy and wear second hand shoes on a regular basis so really, how much worse could it be??) but, even at 2:03am, it is is still TOO HOT to wear anything else. Although it will probably be raining when we touch down in the PNW and I'll have to change into boots. With pleasure.

Thankfully I am NOT bringing my computer, but I will be keeping in touch and probably even posting now and then. See you all on the flip side (of the continent!) Stay cool!

Have the best time! Jalouse!!

Everything about air travel is pretty gross (economy class 4 life) so I hadn't even thought about the security checkpoint thing. Soooo many wet wipes, and I'm not even a germaphobe.

I'd love to see a proper picture of those trousers. Have a lovely time!

It was rainy and cooler yesterday and Monday (thunderstorms!), but I think today should be a little sunnier with a high of 70, which I'm sure sounds dreamy to people living anywhere else in the country right now.

i tried on a pair of shoes (sockless) at a thrift store the other week and an older man stood a few feet away unable to mask his horrified stare. and i'm still alive to tell the tale; my feet are too! :)

Hahaha, oh man, I have NO STANDARDS when it comes to that stuff. Never have, never will. Well I mean, I wouldn't try on shoes with, like, worms or spiders in them. That's basically where I draw the line.

The striped top is from H&M, the mens department ;n )

lady, i can't tell you how many compliments i get on my salt waters ever since you advised my purchase of the dark brown pair two years ago. mostly from practical mothers on the t, but every now and then a stylish south end gal hits me up for the deets. still jonesin' for the navy ones, too...

Ahh great casual outfit, I love seeing fellow Salt Water wearers around on the internet. I hope you're enjoying the NW. No rain for the next 10 days at least!

I just went on a plane recently. I forgot how cold the marble floors are when you're standing in your bare feet. Just awful!
