SUCH SHOES AS DREAMS ARE MADE OF

(click photo for deets)

Forget Miu Miu heels, Giuseppe Zanotti wedges, even Isabel Marant's brilliant boots: If I could choose just one pair of fancy, schmancy, embarrassingly expensive shoes to own, it would be a pair of two-tone, beige and black, cap toed Chanel flats. They are, quite simply, the dreamiest of dream shoes. Today, a wet and grey but surprisingly temperate day, this is what I'd choose to wear with them. Dream baby, dream.

I agree - I've always coveted the Chanel flats. Love the undies - they look so soft!

Annabel: Aw shucks! But your irl polyvore sets (aka your outfits!) are always so damn good!

I'm currently crossing my fingers that I'll fit into an XS (the only size that bra is left in) so I can treat myself to something pretty for xmas ;n )

Chanel flats are good in theory. The black toe was developed to make the foot appear smaller. However, I have tiny feet and I'm afraid it would make me look like I had no feet at all :(

Siri, your polyvore sets always make me drool... And that not-so-secret Santa list, I keep coming back to it when I'm in need for a little inspiration! Have you seen the Marais USA two-tone maryjanes? (https://www.maraisusa.com/products-page/new-stuff/maryjane-bow-beige/) Of course, they're not Chanel, but they've become my 'kind of affordable option' to try to save for :).

Colleen: Hmmm, I never really thought about that! I have tiny feet too, I often "affectionately" refer to them as "stub feet". Sometimes I feel like my toes don't even really exist...

Camille: Aaaah yes, I really, truly want to love those Marais flats--but there's something so off-putting to me about the placement of the strap. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about it really bugs me. Otherwise, they'd be a great alternative dang it!

I'd be terrified of buying such expensive flats - I run high-street leather flats into the ground in a matter of months. And I'm talking about toes poking out of the seams. Do you think they'd be a little harder wearing?

I love this set. That Rag and Bone jumper is in my dreams.
