HERE SHE COMES NOW

Lula_11_Fall_Winter_2010_11_Charlotte_Gainsbour

At long last, all pissing and moaning aside: Lula has been released! (Though I'll believe it when I finally see it stateside...) Looking forward to Ashley Smith's editorial, and all the usual fluff and circumstance. I do wonder what the price hike will translate to in US$...ah well, we all know I'll find those pennies somewhere! It's a darn good thing none of my favorite, foreign, pricey magazines come out on a monthly basis...

Love that cover - less pink than usual. x

I heard that there's a smaller print run that usual for this issue, which sucks if it's true.

Love this cover. I am SO READY to embrace visible panty lines, girl! (although sometimes I totally do already, whatever)

Eeek! My two great loves, Lula and Charlotte Gainsbourg, together at last! I can't wait!

i read on someone's blog (i can't remember where!) that this issue is a bit of a decline in quality, which i hope is not true, but it remains to be seen.
personally i have been enjoying wonderland recently, the last two issues have been really great, but its like $27 in australia so it's a good thing that's not monthly either.

I can't wait this issue but it seems that it is a bit disapointing. And i am not sure I will find it in france this time. It seems that the girl on the cover is Lou doillon and not charlotte gainsbourg...

I am very very very happy to hear there is finally a new Lula! Now the only question is, where can I find it?

I ordered my copy from ebay (coming straight from the U.K.) last week since I've only ever seen it carried in one location in Chicago. I have issues 2-10 and since it has gotten so popular the chances of getting on at a bookstore seem nil. It's worth though...some of the back issues are priced at $150?!?

Yeah, sadly I've also heard some less than exciting things about this issue...maybe people are just grouchy because it took so long coming out and now costs more? I'll definitely try and reserve judgment until I see it myself...

I have to admit, I was quite hoping it was going to turn out to be Lou on the cover (playing favorites now, hey) but I do admire Charlotte. Wow, I can't believe how much back issues are going for! I would love to get my hands on a copy of issue One, I don't even wanna know what that might run me.

Maaan, I really just hope all this hoopla isn't portending their untimely demise or something. They're too young and beautiful to die! Though they would leave an awfully pretty corpse...

This arrived on my doormat yesterday, its been sitting pretty on my table until these darn essays have been done away with. The price is now £7.99 which is fairly cheeky considering how long it has been delayed.

Cheeky to say the least! I do wish they would say SOMETHING to address the delay, I mean, for all we know it could have been a paper jam in the printer, or the first run could have said "LALU" on the cover. I have to admit that I do feel like they owe us some sort of acknowledgment, at least. They work hard, yes, but so do we, to earn the money we pay for their magazine. Aaaanyways...
