Looking at these photos I took back in May at the Hester Street Fair, I find it hard to believe that only a matter of weeks ago I was still excited at the prospect of summer. Sun! Heat! Being outdoors! All I can say is: be careful what you wish for. It has been so unbearably hot and nasty here the last week or so that it's driving me MAD. I never understood why anyone could possibly hate summer until I moved to New York. Bah! All I can do is keep dreaming of escaping West, and wishing I was leaving for vacation tomorrow instead of in three weeks...

I'm so sick of summer too. I thought maybe this year wouldn't be so bad since last summer was kind of mild (I'm in NC) but oh, I was wrong wrong wrong.
It's just awful, and we have so long to go! It just makes me so jealous thinking of all those people in Seattle and Portland reveling in the beginning of summer, which is always so nice over there and so NOT humid (which is really the key, for me.) Gimme your weather pleeeaassseee!!!

Ummm.....It has yet to stop raining out here. It is definitely cooler though.
Oh jeez, ok, well maybe just Portland then?? I'd honestly take rain right now though! Almost anything but this!
