red ahead

Not gonna lie, it's kiiinda driving me crazy that my nail polish AND my toenail polish are pretty much the EXACT same color as my shirt today. But I'm working through it (since I'm waaay too lazy to actually do something constructive about it. Nah. No way.)

Anyways! These are my absolute favorite new pants in the world. I got them at Buffalo Exchange, but they are originally from H&M, although sadly they don't seem to be in stores anymore. I would seriously consider taking them somewhere and having five identical pairs made in five different fabrics. I have such a rotten time finding trousers that fit how I want, and these are so comfortable and slouchy without giving me balloon thighs or bubble butt. Proof that miracles do happen!

I'd also like to have about a dozen copies of this belt made. It is my number one best belt, and I will be so sad when, someday, it falls to shreds, or flies to bits after an epic taco feast, or something equally sad/delicious ("Taste my sad, Michael!")

i'm sure you can find a pattern for the pants, if you're a sewer.

Sadly, I wouldn't really describe myself as a "sewer", maybe novice hem-stitcher, at best? But I'm always hearing stories about people finding some amazing Italian or Chinese tailor somewhere and getting their favorite whatever-it-is duplicated several times over. Worth looking into when I've got a slightly freer cash flow, perhaps?

And fea thank you!! I feel like that outfit of Rhiannon's kinda blows me out of the water though, I LOVE those pants she got! I really need some good khakis like those...

Oh my, this is one of your best ever! So classic/casual/chic and freaking awesome all together. And the matching nails don't bug me that much, I think there is enough distance that in person I would not even notice. Anyway: win!

Fantastic trousers! I have a hard time finding ones that I like, too. The only pair that I have that has come close to perfection has an elastic backing at the waist that kind of makes me feel like someone's mom or a teacher. It's easy to hide though, so I've been able to stick it out.

those trousers are indeed perfection. i keep holding out for some awesome, mid-nineties, thrifted mom pants to own up and fit me perfectly.... but bubble butt is definitely haunting all my shopping trips so far. i'm enjoying the matchy nailpolish! adorable.

Anon, I do both actually, depending on how tired my shoulders are (cuz it's usually crammed with crap and pretty heavy!)
