I finally got a roll of film developed that I shot over the course of the last few months. These are mostly from the Jazz Age party out on Governor's Island back in October, which was a bit cold and mucky but still beautiful. More to come!

Edit: I used a Canon AE-1 camera and 35mm film, Duane Reade brand I think! Thanks everyone :n D

These are such beautiful photos! I can't tell you how make-believe it felt to work on Governor's Island all summer... the second-to-last photograph is EXACTLY what I spaced out at every morning while having my morning coffee/scone and waiting for my ferry to work... it always killed me they didn't have any windows on the side of the building that faced the water! dummies!

Thank you so much everyone!! Photography is a hobby that I wish I could commit myself to studying more. Oh and I should have mentioned what camera/film I used in the first place, duh! I edited the post to tell you all it's a Canon AE-1 (really excellent camera, highly recommend it if you're looking to get into analog photography) and 35mm print film.

really love these. and let me just say (in reference to your comment above), photography as a hobby is more rewarding than being well studied in it (i was a photo major). maybe you understand, having studied film? sometimes it's nice just to love things for their surface beauty and how they make you feel to look at them, rather than being bothered with technical aspects and overall concepts.

and no clue how i got on this long rant, i just meant to say that they are lovely and i hope to see more!
