I grew up in a household that fostered a great deal of love and respect for astronomy and outerspace. I remember sleeping outside in the summer to catch meteor showers at their peak, and gazing at Hale-Bopp comet through a telescope as big as I was. The cosmos are damn gorgeous, which was why I got so excited by that photo of those amazing stardust/galaxy pants.
Turns out, that was just the tip of the iceberg: apparently, Risto Bimbiloski has a whole line of amazing, outrageous galaxy printed apparel.
Space parka!
Guuuuh, I love these beyond words. Space. Shorts.
This is my favorite, and quite seasonally apropos--a night sky cashmere scarf. I would wear this every day.
Sadly, all of the many beautiful space-printed wares (bomber jacket, leggings anyone?) are more than a little out of my price range. Meaning I might have track down this Zara version instead:
All things considered, not so bad a compromise--you have to admit, it's still pretty outta this world!

I too am a fan, but too poor for even the knockoff.
So what is a girl to do?
Get a black thrifted shirt, some well-placed bleach, and white paint flicking.
It's pretty legit.
Wow, the pants in the first photo are simply mind blowing pretty!
Honestly, I'm probably too poor for the knockoff as well! I'm almost afraid to go and find it in stores, it's probably ridiculous. Bah. So your diy tips are mucho appreciated! :n )
The Zara dress is out-of-this-world! I just picked it up yesterday, and it's only about 30 bucks. I absolutely love it and it has ties in the back to adjust to your liking. Really great buy!

Whoa. I love those! The shorts and the scarf especially.
i was thinking of getting the shirt as well, but sadly i cant afford it and cant find it anywhere anyway. so i thought i might just download some space photographies, go to the copyshop and get it printed on a black tank. not like that shirt or that parka(!) but hey..
that parka has hand crocheted lining, whaaa?? all the pieces are so pretty! the scarves are my favorite, too. i would love to see some photos of all this DIY talk!

that's so funny i was just reading a book about space to one of the boys i watch and found myself wishing the photos were wearable.
must be the coming of the leonid meteor shower that's got us in this trance- sure wish i had a fellow enthusiast like yourself to take it in with!
Guh, ok, that's it--I'm hitting up every Zara in the city! Christmas present money saving be damned!! Although now I want to try my hand at making something space-inspired too.
Hooray space!!!
i am completely obsessed with the pants and parka in particular (ooh, alliteration), but that zara piece is pretty stunning too.
do it!
xx
kind of reminds me of the glow in the dark space sheets every 23 year old with hippy parents had
Very punny. But yeah, I'd definitely buy the Zara version too...
i have to say, those space shorts are pretty cool to have
perfect
You are soooo right about the shorts and the scarf...

(i LOVE the purple galactic print)
xo s
the shorts are my favorite!
gah, the trousers! the TROUSERS!
I also spotted the zara tee on a blog yesterday (think it was withnailpolish?) and seeing as the pricetags attached to these lovelies are painfully unrealistic zara shall have to suffice.
I wonder how one would go about diying a space print? the nebula effects seem to tricky to achieve with bleach. I wouldn't even know where to begin with hand painting!
Do keep us updated if you ever try it.
oh goody, how i am drawn to those start speckled bloomer like shorts, like a moth to a flame
Oh dear lord, I can't even properly relate to you guys the fruitless wild goose chase I went on this evening looking for the Zara dress. After three stores worth of blank expressions I started to think I was completely crazy and that I'd imagined the whole effing thing! But some of you have actually seen this in stores? And perhaps even purchased it??? Gaaaah. One sales girl was really nice and said if I emailed her the link to their lookbook she would try and track it down for me. Fingers and toes are firmly crossed.
oh wow these are all amazing
oh the shorts are great!
agh i am obsessed with all the risto stuff at assembly! mociun and creatures of the wind also have some wayyyyy too cute very expensive spacey stuff that i want too much. sucks.
I am in love with those space shorts!
I bought the Zara dress about 2 weeks ago and I just went to back to see if they had any left and no one there remembered ever seeing it.
It looks just like the picture you posted but it has a stupid belt which I cut off because it’s where the models wrist is on the right hand side of the picture and I don’t understand why anyone would want to belt a dress there. I think it was cheap too, about £17 (so about $30-ish).
IMO I’d probably look for the dress for a while longer before buying materials to diy one, I painted a similar print on a black tshirt a few months ago and thought it looked great at the time, but now I have the dress it looks pretty rubbish in comparison.
Sorry for the huge comment.
