i'm looking through you

clearbootsil_fullxfull.95749232

I haven't owned a pair of combat boots since 9th grade, nor have I succumbed (yet) to the current Doc Martens revival (though I did run into White Lightning last night rocking these babies, and have only two words for you: HOO BOY!), but these are just too cool for school. Just what you need to pair with your Sonia Rykiel translucent raincoat come springtime...assuming you have size 6 feet.

sweet jesus these are rad!

i remember seeing a pair of see-through docs in a vintage shop a while ago, and ALMOST bought them until i started to contemplate the socks issue... maybe stockings are the answer?

I can barely fathom the awesomeness of clear Doc Martens! Curses on my size 8 feet.

I just don't feel quite badass enough for the return to Docs and Creepers though I didn't wear either the first time around (not tough enough then either, I suppose). However, I have bought a great pair of pointy, vintage monk straps that are as close to Creepers as I feel comfortable. And just this weekend I spent a bit too much on a vintage pair of Joan and David boots that are pretty comparable to the Doc's linked (though dark brown and not nearly as punk). I love the toughness in fashion at the monent, but I just don't know that I can fully pull it off.

p.s. I also thought your video/ movie was so beautifully done! Sorry I didn't comment below!
