janedearcupcakes

Lately I have been focusing on cooking (...and eating) as my preferred method of general life/school procrastination. Too bad everyone I know professes to be sick to death of cupcakes, or I might try and replicate these beauties. Hell, I might do it anyways. I've got an awful lot of other things to (not) do. Can you imagine if those roses were strawberry flavored? There is nothing finer in this world than strawberry icing made with fresh strawberries, the smell alone will knock you flat.

What are some of your favorite things to cook?

DOOO IIIIITT, yum.

i've been living off of this lentil vegetable thing i've been making giant pots of every week, which is boring and oh so healthy, but otherwise i've recently made kale bagels, pop tarts (sooo cheap, easy and AMAZING), lemon blueberry muffins, black bottom cupcakes and a mess of other things that help me realize when i move back out of my mom's house i'll be skinny and have a life again.

oh, and my new thing is just saying no to fresh fruit and instead simmering it with a bit of honey, wine, spices, etc and pouring it over ice cream. typing that sentence alone made me gain ten pounds just now.

oh I think you should make them! I wish you could somehow upload the smell of that icing to your blog so I could have some of it in my kitchen!
I'd say my favourite things to cook are all pumpkin related. Even though cutting those darn things up is the hardest, it always just tastes like comfort to me when it's done!

last month saw me making about 637598929 batches of macaroons.

they'll never live up to laduree but they're about 4 times the size!

and I made my ever faithful vanilla victoria sponge the other day and covered it in shocking pink icing and curly lettering. pretty much ate the whole thing myself, no joke..

so moral of the story is, make the cupcakes and consume them all yourself is no one else will.

yay for food inspiration. because really, who can get sick of cupcakes?

i'm more of a baker then a cook.
my specialties are chocolate chip cookies and chocolate chip banana bread. i would love to find a good oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe though.
obviously i like chocolate, lol.

i think i would like the cupcakes to have rose-flavored icing. i really like flower flavors. chocolate cupcakes with lavender icing is the best!

i've started a section on my blog called "table for one", wherein i pair meals with the perfect read. that's been my cooking love for a bit.

I luve luve luve cupcakes and always will, I got a cupcake tattoo on my left shoulder *___*

So I love to make them. But I also love to cook something with nudels and tomatoes..there is so much you can do with it, but tuna in, or cheese, mushrooms and so on...

Lovely picture! And its nice to have you posting about cupcakes as I love anything sweet and good food in general. =)
I love making brownies, as slowly but surely I know the recipe by heart and it is quite fail-proof. And yesterday I also made some chocolate fondants. Little cakes which are still liquid inside! Yummm... And the great thing about them is that you can make them in advance, freeze them and then reheat whenever you want. And the batch I made yesterday turned out to be quite good as the timing needs to be very exact which can be tricky.

Mmmmmm... I like making brownies too - but my latest experiment was a blueberry pie which was successful. So I see lots of pies in my future :P
Wish I could make cupcakes though, I always seem to fail at those.

I love the way they are iced, they're beautiful!

I am good at making cakes and such, but not much else. Which could be interesting when I leave home...

I love making ratatouille: each vegetable is supposed to be cooked separately so it's a mess of bubbling pots that each smell so amazing.
