jerkin' back and forth

where I keep my belts

I think one of the reasons I have such trouble executing any sort of successful, over-arching interior design scheme (one of many reasons) is that I get too distracted by the details. I fixate on making pretty piles of crap--it's the whole forest/trees syndrome. These are just a few of my favorite crap-piles (+ my toes in a cameo appearance.)

no, no, not crap, piles of amazing! though i get what you mean, but i think at this stage in our young lives, that's the perfect design scheme...and because of my innate messiness, and all the completely opposing scattered ideas of what i eventually want to do, it'll probably always stay that way...

...and less theme, more ordered chaos is always okay by me

my crap pile consists of one large mound in the middle of my room which is made up of magazines, clothes, belts, shoes, books, and underwear. I am good and have a separate crap pile for my jewellery

ah, I suffer from the same piles of crap syndrome. and they inevitably become piles of dusty crap which is then when I wonder why I bother.

I actually just had a big tidy up of my closet last night; think boxes are the way forward for shoving said piles of crap into. Tidyness makes me happy!

By the way, sorry for not replying to the email, I'm stupidly behind at the moment. I updated the image (not at all nit-picky of you, don't worry!) though sadly because of your photobucket problems (feeling the pain) the icon is now showing up, so I'll just replace it with mine again for the time being, if that's okay.

Hope all is well your end! xx

fuck, i totally empathize with you on this one. what i won't forgive, however, is the lack of that golden bow-buckle belt in your outfit posts. holy shit.

hey, which model crosley record player is that? do you like it? i'm trying buy one, but i need one that will play even w/ the lid closed...

I do the same thing. Sit there for hours arranging a pile of books. Just the pile of books & then everything else is just screwed. That record player is amazingly beautiful, in fact your whole set up is pretty awesome. I say stick with whatever your doing, it's lovely!

Haha the phrase 'crap pile' makes me laugh as it's how I describe my stuff too. Seriously though you have so many lovely things, and very artfully arranged too ;)

Aw shucks you guys, you're makin' me feel much better about my skills. If only there was an industry based around piling up pretty crap, I'd be a CEO by now!
