Foggy Eyes

Nothing all that exciting about this outfit, just thought I'd provide some visual proof that I'm alive and well-ish.

(Though actually I kind of like seeing what other bloggers consider to be their "boring outfits," since usually they don't bore me! It's all a matter of perspective, for sure.)

As a matter of fact, I've been feeling pretty rotten lately (I think you can see it my face here!) The sheer amount of school work I have to complete in the next two weeks, the books I have to read, the book reports I have to write (yep, apparently my professor is under the impression that he's still teaching 7th grade...), the paper proposals, the papers, the finals...aaaaaaaah, just thinking about it is enough to send waves of nausea and pangs of fear all over my body.

Anyways, I hope wherever you are, you're doing better than I am! I know working full time can be just as stressful (I tried it out for a couple of years. It sucked plenty.), and that the grass is always greener...but man, just about anything looks better than where I'm standing right now.

I love this outfit!!! so adorable!!I've been looking high and low for a great khaki trench but nothing seems fitted enough. this seems like it fits perfect. Also I was curious where you found that super adorable blouse?

Aw dude at least you're doing it..I tried going back to school this year and promptly hid under the covers the second I realized none of the teachers cared if I was there or not. And I kinda wanna be a teacher, so...

Wha, wait..you don't work? Like, you don't have a job? Um.....howww?

That's not boring at all, it's lovely!

IS THAT A STEPHEN COLBERT TOTE? Well I need that immediately. (I noticed because of the wonky ear! :D)

Beat Happening all right! Someone made me an epic mix cd many years ago, and that was one of my favorite tracks...

I bought the blouse at a thrift store back home in Washington State last year, where I have decided I will have to wait to do pretty much any clothes shopping. Really, on my budget, nothing here can compare.

Suzy, I am pretty solidly unemployed at the moment. My parents are irrationally kind, selfless people and somehow manage to support me while I'm in school. I've had part-time and odd jobs off and on, but it's been a while since I landed one. I mean, it's nice to have the free time, but it's certainly not like I'm living in the lap of luxury! I don't feel all that great about taking their money, since they don't have that much to begin with, and I don't ask for more than a bare minimum, but I've decided to appreciate it while they're willing. During the two years I took off between Santa Cruz and CUNY I was on my own though.

And yep, that's Stephen all right! My boyfriend bought it for me at Barnes & Noble :n )

I'm unemployed too! If only I could look this good while doing so, you on the other hand look adorable!

Boy Howdy, you is one lucky gal! I, however, just ate a giant banana split, so who's really winning here??

Damnit, I forgot you have that Stephen Colbert bag. Well-played, you.

I'm really sorry to hear you're going through some rough times right now. Just take comfort in the fact that things always get better... they never STAY shitty (no matter how grey the circumstance). :)

But on a fashion-related note, I really love your choice of layers in this outfit. Definitely mastered!

I don't think this is a boring outfit at all!

That Stephen Colbert tote is pretty freakin' awesome. I'm watching Colbert Report while now and was stoked to go to your blog and see him there too!

i really like your dress - is that what you would call a jumper? it does seem that most bloggers are students - i'm especially surprised at how many of these are doctorate students too!

i'm totally late on commenting on this post, so maybe you're already out in the clear from all your exams and papers, but just in case you aren't, just keep focusing on how great it will feel when its all handed in and done with! I JUST finished my exam period (and then started my intensive summer semester two days later) and totaly know what you mean about the grass is always greener. i was off school for two years working full tiem and wished more than anything to be back in school and now that im in school i miss the days of coming home and relaxing without feeling guilty about not doing my work!
ITS ALMOST OVER YOU CAN DO IT! :D xo
