Etsy Shoe Showdown: Volume Spring Sandals

Spending the last couple of days in bed, on prescription drugs, gave me a lot of time to ponder. It also gave me a lot of time to go internet shopping. Most of all, it gave me plenty of time to ponder why I can't afford to be going internet shopping--for myself that is. So instead I went internet shopping FOR YOU!

Apparently, in some parts of the country, it's Spring. In these places, people's feets are crying out to be freed from their shackles. In an effort to fight foot cruelty everywhere, I combed the darkest corners of Etsy to provide you with a round-up of the best and the brightest vintage sandals currently for sale.

Category 1: That '70's Shoe

I don't know about you, but basically all I want to wear this summer are badass platforms and wedges. I blame Charles Anastase.

(HOLY GOD IF YOU HAVE SIZE 6 FEET WHY DO YOU NOT ALREADY OWN THESE??? from Buttons 'n Such)

Category 2: Take it Down a Notch

Still killer, but not in the "it might actually kill you to wear these all day" sort of sense.

(Studded sandals from Rare Treasure, see measurements)

Photobucket

ack, i want platforms really badly as well!! i think i might just go ahead and buy the gap ones that are out now. i also found these awesomely 70s-esque miu miu ones on ebay but sadly they are out of my price range :/

on damn you read my mind. i just did the same masochistic activity the other day and posted a bunch of shoes. i wish etsy ran on a barter system.

i'm damn near buying the one's from "thisyearsmodel" but my bank account says noooostopppp.

wow thank you so much i just discovered another world of vintage on etsy. my overdraft hates you though. just so you know, avoid him, he's mean.

wow. that was exhilarating!

though i've never been a wearer of platforms (i have the weakest ankles and those shoes are always so heavy), you are upping my appreciation of how damn sexy they can be.

I have never in my life wanted to wear platforms before looking at these pictures, especially the yellow ones. This has changed me.
