Victory is mine

I finally found a pair of Justin boots in my size! It's hard for me to really muster up any degree of excitement about winter shoes right now, but I'm pretty stoked on them, and I can't wait till I can wear them sans tights with dresses in the ~*spring*~.

Like this! Here they are with the beautiful dress I have for sale at the moment. I mean, so yeah, I may be a bit biased when it comes to things I'm trying to sell, but this one is a real peach, I'm telling you. It's another one of those if-it-fit-me-I-would-NEVER-let-it-go sadnesses.

Otherwise, I've basically been wearing a variation on the same exact outfit for the last couple of weeks. It's about this time of the year, every year, where I finally give up any hope of ever being able to dress stylishly and/or appropriately during the colder months and just throw in the towel.

OVER IT.

Congrats! I'm glad you found some. Growing up in the West every cowgirl had a pair when I was a kid. I think it's awesome that they've become fashionable! Can't wait to see what they look like with the rest of your outfit.

Oh man I found the perfect summertime dress in a calico print that reeks of Chloe Sevigny. I spent a good hour in my closet, trying to find a way to make it work with warm layers, but it's so perfect with just a silk slip underneath that I'm going to have to tuck it away for many months of neglect. Such is my bittersweet love for Village Discount thrift stores.

I'm pretty sure those shoes just don't exist in New Zealand, but I want a pair so bad!

They suit you perfectly :D

Pansy! I know you will love it! I'd like to tell you that I wont use even a cent of your money on buying myself anymore dresses, but...that miiight be a lie?

Ayesha, surely you can shop on eBay, even in over in New Zealand? That's where I got these, and there are a ton of them on there at the moment, and for pretty cheap. Just be careful about sizes. I wear a US size 7.5, and I had to buy a pair that was size 4! Make SURE and get measurements before you buy!

Wow. Those boots are srsly the best. I loved how you paired them with socks peeking out the top.

And I'm always too late on buying your stuff on Etsy! As soon as I saw that dress, I wanted it but alas, it was not meant to be because by the time I clicked into your store, it was gone. :(

Yes, the cold sucks the life out of everything it touches. But that's what people like you or I paint rooms yellow for, right? Besides, as I told someone yesterday- March is coming up next week. In like a lamb, out with a sun dress. And a massive, massive birthday party.

Oh, I adore those boots! I keep seeing that style with adorable printed dresses and I think it's the perfect combination of girly and tough.
I think I will have to look on ebay myself! What exactly did you search for when you found these?
Your blog is great :D

Diane--don't feel to bad! Pansy was mighty quick, I think the dress was up for all of an hour before she got to it!

Kate--I searched for "Justin Ropers", but, as I mentioned, be careful of sizing, it's wacky. I'm a 7.5, and a 4 fits me just right, so you can use that as a basis accordingly, but regardless I would just go by measurements. Another bonus of these boots is that, since they're made for mucking out paddocks and stuff, they're really heavy duty. I can tell they'll last a long time even in rotten weather.

I accidentally stumbled upon my purple pair and thought they were the most beautifully ridiculous things I'd ever seen. I bought them ($8) and it turned out that the next week they were on every blog!

Yours are sooo flippin' gorgeous. And yes, they can withstand shitty, shitty weather. Exhibit A: I wore them today in stupid random blizzard we're experiencing here in Vancouver. Funnnn times. Anyways, you look lovely. Sorry for this letter sized comment =P
