Are You With Me?

A few days ago, my Best Boy and his band mates took off for a three week tour of the UK (Best Boy plays bass). While I will sorely miss him, I'm ridiculously proud, and also excited that simultaneously Pitchfork has premiered the music video for one of the songs on their 7", featuring none other than keyboard player Peggy Wang herself, and shot on Super8 (a medium close to my heart!)

Have a gander at "Everything With You" by the Pains of Being Pure at Heart:

(P.S. Anyone who is interested in tour dates should check their myspace!)

What! The Pains of Being Pure At Heart! But their praises have been sung all over the really good indiepop-blogs for ages already and over here in Europe their debut album is eagerly awaited! Do tell them to stop by in Austria if they should ever feel like touring Europe! Too many exclamation marks in this comment, but I really, REALLY like their music.

Ooh pretty.. They sound like a local band here in Chicago called Golden Birthday. Not totally, but it gives me the same feeling. Nice.

Ooh, where in the UK are they playing? Are they coming to London-Town...?

Daffodils--they are in London as we speak, and will be returning towards the middle of December I believe. Click their name on the original post and it will take you to their myspace which has a list of shows and dates!

Dot--I will absolutely recommend Austria, though I think they are rather at the mercy of their label as far as touring, poo. The Boy talks a lot about wanting to go to Japan, and if he does, oooh I am finding a way to go with!I guess I don't really have a handle on their popularity over where you are, and I'm not sure they do either, but that's so great!

wow! i've seen Peggy on some street style blogs and wouldn't guess that she'd be in the same band as your bf! I mean, not that i could make a connection on my own... but cos she's really cool and you're really cool so it makes this very cool.

the song's so catchy too, i hope they have a good tour!!

Well they're big favourites of indiemp3.com which in turn is my absolute favourite music blog (I ignore Pitchfork...) and I've been listening to them for quite a while, absolutely can't wait for the album. Lucky you to be surrounded by these talented people!

Oh and I don't think I've ever commented before, but your blog is so wonderful, it always makes me happy when bloglovin announces that you've posted!
