If that's movin' up then I'm you-know-what

Hi friends! No doubt two or three of you are wondering just where it is I've got off to. Well, I'll tell ya, I've been neither here nor there: I've been moving. Not out of New York, not even out of Brooklyn, just to a different hood. Everything is in complete chaos. This morning I was up East 93rd way buying a second hand IKEA bed frame from a British guy, and tonight I am boiling water in a sauce pan to make tea. But the new place is huge and amazing.

Now pretty much all I need to do is paint, and the place might finally start feeling like home. Perhaps one or two of those same two or three concerned souls may also be wondering––Ringo, how on earth do you follow up glorious yellow, nay, Citrus Zest walls? Two words: Mint Green. Or, more precisely, Parsnip, which any novice farmer will tell you are actually off-white. But hey, what the hell does Behr know anyways?

Since I painted my own bedroom Woodland Green, which is pretty damn green, I think you should go for it and do Barnyard Grass:

But my opinion might well be abnormal.

I hope you love your new place.

Well, that url didn't come through at all. This will require cut-and-paste, but these comments won't take html link tags.

Good god, I don't know about you but Parsnip looks absolutely atrocious on my monitor! I assure you it's much more soft and minty than that, yucko. However, the thought of a more brilliant green has crossed my mind. I once spent a couple of months living in a very intensely green room, and the thing I didn't like is that everything just ended up looking sort of, well--greenish, all the time. But not in a spritely forest sort of way, more of a sea-sick sort of way...maybe it had more to do with the general atmosphere than the paint itself, but still, I'm wary now!

I understand what you mean about the reflected color, although I like it, and have countered it with a darkish peach-orange colored bedspread. I guess I just think that the intensity of the color overcomes to an extent the fact that greens are cold colors, as opposed to the warmer color of Citrus Zest. I guess I'm not a "soft and minty" kind of girl. More of a "intense and leafy" one....

Haha, believe me, I have massive respect for everything, and everyone, intense and leafy. Peach orange would be amazing with Woodland Green! I can see how that would work extremely well. Hum, choosing paint is so hard. I wish it wasn't so damn expensive and labor intensive...

Goodness me - green walls? I'm not sure if it'll be as zesty as lemon (see that pun?) but it sure sounds sweet (and that's also one, kind of). Also seems to suit you! Good luck with the new place x

Remember little west coast girl, warm walls are better for when the days get cold and lonely. On a second note , I'm taking up the cause to sew my own door hanging shoe rack out of my vast collection of mis-matching cloth. So I'm taking scrap donations. Also, I found good instructions on how to make those blown up wall images.
