Oops

I seem to have disappeared again. Anyways, this is what I wore to school today.

Aw guuuys, I'm so so sick of all of my clothing! It's gotten to one of those points where I just never look the way I want to anymore, you know what I mean? It's a bummer, all right. Getting dressed every day feels like a struggle in the midst of a battle I am rapidly losing.

Also, I am afraid I am NOT one of those people who is excited for cold weather. I would like for it to become cool enough for me to wear clothing of some sort without wanting to have myself frozen Han Solo style, yes, but if I never put on another pair of tights in my LIFE, it would be too soon.

I'm feeling the same way about getting dressed. I didn't want to on Saturday so I just stayed in bed. I fear this is going to happen a lot more as it gets colderr. errrrr.

I think you and me are the only ones wishing summer to stick around. I think this is because we both have a copy of A Box of Sun, but it's only a hunch.

That's it, I'm convinced! Do you have any of the other three in the series? Oh man, this is sort of a dream:

Ugh. I know what you mean. Being unemployed for the last, oh, YEAR has made it pretty hard to buy any clothes. I'm literally working with the not-so-greatest hits of '06-'07, and the results have been depressing, not to mention out of style. I put on an outfit yesterday and I realized that it was an exact replica of something I wore at age 17, when I was some sort of refugee escaped from Gap Kids. Can I please just look like the Laura Ingalls Wilder/Anais Nin/Bryan Ferry hybrid that I KNOW I am inside???

While currently not in a closet rut, I know how you feel, and it sucks and blows at the same time. It's like all your clothes have become hostile or something...
If it's any consolation, you do look just as cute as ever.
Also, summer needs to come back. Tights are too clingy.

I know what you mean. I hate it because I have a lot of clothes, but not nesscarily clothes that do what I like. I think that the transition between seasons is always hard though, have faith!

I feel you about the cold weather!
I adore Spring and Summer and in these last years I started appreciate Fall too. I started thinking september isn't a bad month after all (and I was born in september too...), the colors are beautiful and the first days of cool air are nice for layering... But then come the freezing air and all I want to wear, till march, is a vegan version of a bear skin!

the epic battle between my wardrobe and me has become daily, but how is it that you still end up looking cute as hell?

Not to shit on you happy parade, girl, but it was Luke who got frozen. You can give me clothes you want to sell for Saturday if you want and you'll have yer own envelope in the cash box.

I know what you mean. I hate when you have those days and thats the reason you get to school/work/anywhere late and it takes any kind of pleasure for doing anything and at that point your just like "aaah screw it, im not going" but I have to tell you anytime that has happened it has usually been that time of month and you kind of already feel like crap so maybe thats what it is?
I feel you about the cold. I'm looking forward to fall definately not winter (New York style) brrr!!! just got the shivers thinking about it.
Feel better!!!

Rachel--yeah, being unemployed DEFINITELY has something to do with the rut, there is no doubt. I keep hanging out at friends' and eating their food, trying to save money, but it doesn't really work, since I usually end up spending what small excess there is on candy.

Tights, oh tights. Tights are clingy and restricting and they get dirty and smelly and I can never seem to get them properly clean. And I hate how they make my legs look! And I hate how they look with the majority of my shoes! And, and! I hate them!

Tali--I WISH I could just blame this on raging hormones or something, because that would totally make sense, but no, I am just crazy and difficult ALL THE TIME, only I get WORSE when Aunt Flo comes knockin' at the door.

Finally, EBD, I see where you're coming from here, however, I think I would prefer the cool stasis of Carbonite to the freezing temperatures of Hoth, if only because I don't fancy being shoved into any steaming taun-taun bellies, even if it means I ultimately get to float around naked in a tank of warm goo. Ya know?

I know exactly what you mean. I'm going through the exact same thing with my wardrobe. Hate it! Anyway, I really like your outfit. It's fresh and relaxed.

although you may feel like you're in a rut, you still look ridiculously cute.

i feel this way every single day, and HAVE felt this way for the past month at the very least. i hate to admit it but the inability to buy any new clothes is really stifling my style. i think i'm only excited for fall because it's going to FORCE me to dress differently. ugh, the plights of the fashion-conscious!

Dennise said...

I'm with you on the clothing slump. I've put on a couple pounds and so putting on clothes that are now snug is no fun.

It's refreshing to hear that someone as pretty and fashionable as you has off days too. Makes me feel better. :)

Sigh, I also only wear tights out of neccessity. Bare legs are where it's at!! I just got some over knee boots, should help for fall.
