sunlandic

Today I lay down in the backyard for a good long while, trying to save up enough sunshine to last me through the long cold New York winter that I feel hovering on the horizon like a dark cloud of sadness (though to you actually in NYC at the moment, that eventuality may seem an awful long way off...). Then, I chopped the hem off this skirt I bought the other day (which I think could still stand to be a good deal shorter), and put on a tank top the same color as the record playing on my stereo. Now all that's left to decide is what shoes to wear. I'm leaning heavily towards none...

P.S. The fabulous folks over at Prim Magazine have published a short, extremely flattering feature on me and my blog in the current issue (which is all sorts of rad, besides). So go check it out!

v. cute, but shorter, shorter! although i often end up lopping too much off and having to fashion the would-be skirts into some kind of safety-pinned tube tops, so what do i know?

I don't know, you could bring knee length back. Also, very nice tartan. In addition, NYC Winter= boots, layers, and various colored leggings. In addition, we get to go through fall first. OH! Jackets, jackets, jackets! And more pink sweaters on you know who.

in addition, in addition, in addition. I will never say that again, promise. Many presents for you and momma Cass!

I like the length it is now, it's so pretty and that yellow is stunning with it.

The skirt is very cute! I would maybe make it shorter, or wear it more high-waisted at this length. The belt is a good look with it =]

So sunny and summery -- also a good way to introduce plaid before fall!

Amazing, Siri! Prim is really cool, I hope you are enjoying the fruits of all your hard work! I also love the yellow shirt; it's been a while since I have seen a yellow with that kind of vibrancy. I hope all is well. You're such a pretty girl ya' know!

Inspired by this post I decided to walk barefoot a few days ago around my house. I know have a cold.

Thank you Siri.

Just kidding (not about the cold, just about the passive agressive tone) - this outfit screams summer and I love it!
