I finally got a roll of film developed that I shot over the course of the last few months. These are mostly from the Jazz Age party out on Governor's Island back in October, which was a bit cold and mucky but still beautiful. More to come!
Edit: I used a Canon AE-1 camera and 35mm film, Duane Reade brand I think! Thanks everyone :n D
your pictures are beautiful! what camera/film did you use? The focus and colors are amazing!!
ReplyDeletelove your blog, by the way!
wonderful colors, you've got a great eye. i especially love the first photo, those hats are so beautiful
ReplyDeleteThese are such beautiful photos! I can't tell you how make-believe it felt to work on Governor's Island all summer... the second-to-last photograph is EXACTLY what I spaced out at every morning while having my morning coffee/scone and waiting for my ferry to work... it always killed me they didn't have any windows on the side of the building that faced the water! dummies!
ReplyDeleteThese clouds are superb clouds! Also love the first photo and of course, the one of feet.
ReplyDeletethese are wonderful! what kind of camera are you using?
ReplyDeleteack, I LOVE the first and last photos. All are beautiful though.
ReplyDeleteyou're photos are grand, I would love to see more of them. You have a wonderful aesthetic.

These photos are drop dead gorgeous. They made my day on this winter morning. You have got a great eye, girl.
ReplyDeletei definitely just assumed these were inspiration photos collected from elsewhere at first. good work! the first is particularly lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much everyone!! Photography is a hobby that I wish I could commit myself to studying more. Oh and I should have mentioned what camera/film I used in the first place, duh! I edited the post to tell you all it's a Canon AE-1 (really excellent camera, highly recommend it if you're looking to get into analog photography) and 35mm print film.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely stunning photos! great job!
ReplyDeletereally love these. and let me just say (in reference to your comment above), photography as a hobby is more rewarding than being well studied in it (i was a photo major). maybe you understand, having studied film? sometimes it's nice just to love things for their surface beauty and how they make you feel to look at them, rather than being bothered with technical aspects and overall concepts.
ReplyDeleteand no clue how i got on this long rant, i just meant to say that they are lovely and i hope to see more!
Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteI really like your photographs!
ReplyDeleteoh man, you wet to that? i read all about it in time out new york, it had a whole pullout map of the island and everything!
