my brush with Fashion

Wednesday afternoon, I attended the Lewis Spring 2010 Presentation. I totally failed at trying to find something new to wear, so I decided to just fall back on old standards. I bought this dress last year to attend the BUST anniversary party, and I've had this ancient Louis Vuitton doctors bag since I scored it in high school. Somehow it usually just feels too silly and ostentatious to wear out, but I figured if there's anywhere I could tote it around and not feel like a douche, it would be a fashion party right??



The show was held upstairs at a really pretty restaurant called 5Ninth. The clothes were gorgeous--all patterned silks in greens, blues and pinks. I spied Mary Kate Steinmiller from Teen Vogue, and of course, Ms. Lewis herself was an absolute doll. She introduced me to a girl who is good friends with Christopher from Girls, and we totally hit it off, which was a relief cuz I was kinda nervous! I'm bad enough at going to parties when I'm surrounded by friends, but this time I was flying solo...oh and the free champagne helped too.



...And this is how I actually looked for most of the party. I took a bunch of photos with my Canon, and even though it was dim and I don't have a flash, quite a few came out! I'll scan them and put them up tonight or tomorrow.
