The End, Part I













A few of the last photos from my trip home, and it sure feels like fall today (actually, it feels a lot like we're back at the beginning of our rotten rainy summer...only this time the clouds don't feel quite so unwelcome.)

  3. sigh, I know it's a cliche, because it's the same every year, but where did the summer go?

    still, I think I'm coming to terms with it. and most excited about wrapping up in cosy winter coats and tartan scarves!

  5. Oh man, yes it is! It's actually a sign on the tiny shack that serves as a waiting room for the Waldron Island Airstrip. It doesn't get as much use these days as it used to, since the cost of flying has gone up tremendously, but when I was a kid I went up in little four seaters on more than one occasion, usually en route to Bellingham.
