Many moons ago when I worked at American Apparel, I got my hands on the issue of Self Service devoted almost entirely to Chloƫ. It is, in a word, EPIC, and it's helped drag me kicking and screaming out of many a dark, muddy style rut.
If forced to choose a favorite editorial, I would probably go with this one. Even now, a few years later, I find the shapes and colors incredibly inspiring. And the hair! I wish I had the wherewithal to curl and clip mine up like this every day.

these photos bring me equal parts pain and equal parts happiness. I know no matter how long I fussed with my hair it'd just neverrrr look like that. I want it sooo muchhh!!!

Every outfit is so fuckibg GOOD. And extremely current. Did she style this herself? I know of this issue of Self Service, but sadly I do not own this one.
ReplyDeleteYou know something sad? I don't even OWN one single grey cardigan. And it breaks my heart...every time I want to wear a grey cardigan. Which is a lot because hello, they go with everything!
ReplyDeleteSarah, the styling is by Camille Bidault-Waddington, about whom I know little except she's a cool French stylist who hangs out with Olivier Zahm a lot. Gots to educate myself.
I need me that issue of self service =.p
ReplyDeletehair of epic proportions. i need to be in that second outfit, and have a stoop on which to loiter...
