...I'm homeward bound, at looooong last!

It's been HOT HOT HOT here, and all I can think about since we got back from our travels is getting OUT OUT OUT of this city again, fast. Instead, I spend the worst parts of each day shut up in the bedroom (the only room in the house that has sweet, sweet AC) seeking refuge from concrete sidewalks that radiate waves of garbage-infused heat and a kitchen and livingroom hot enough to make me weep salty, sweaty tears.
The very happiest of Fourth's to you and yours, from Little Edie and myself.
Back in February, I managed to stumble ass-backwards into what's turned out to be one heck of a pretty great part-time job. I'm spending three days a week as the Web Content Editor for Dear Fieldbinder, a boutique in Carroll Gardens here in Brooklyn. That means I write the copy for their online store, as well as contributing to their blog, Pinterest and Facebook--so if things get a little quiet around here, chances are I'm cooking up something over Dear Fieldbinder way.
