the shoes with no name

on their way to me now...

I know it's the holiday season and all...and I know I'm supposed to be spending my money on OTHER people (and don't get me wrong, I am, and how), but I'll admit I caved today and bought these gorgeous western booties from Ruby Chic Boutique.

I'm really partial to things with a tasteful western vibe--first my Dingo boots, now these. Maybe it's because I'm a native Westerner living in an East Coast world? Or could be I've just got a big ol' crush on (the original) Blondie
... here's hoping they fit--but if not, rest assured I'll resurrect my shop long enough to send them off to some other lucky gunslinger.

aw man i can't even look at those Dingos without wanting to cry. i have such an awful time shopping for shoes. still on the black boot hunt that began before fall even did. i think i just search at the wrong times; how hard can it be to find a size eight black ankle boot with some sort of buckle or strap thing going on and possibly a bit of a heel? grr.

Those are awesome! Not something I would expect to find, but western heels are going on my thrifting wish list. The kind of thing you don't know you need until you find them, and then you NEED them.

Cindy: totally agree! Maybe it's just the color? Or the '70s vibe? Both? I'm definitely feelin' it.

Suzy: if anything, my purchase of these should be viewed as a failure, since I too have been looking for black boots since the end of August (at least.) As much as I love shoes, they're basically the bane of my existence, since I'm incredibly picky AND incredibly broke. Not a winning combo. Not really ever. But now I'm gonna go on a shoe hunt for ya!
