Monday

Yesterday was a nice, loungey day...

...up until I had to go to school, on my day off no less, to take a scary placement test. CUNY really makes my blood boil sometimes (...lots of times), but whatevs, I passed!

I didn't actually venture outside in this outfit (unless you count our roof), heh, but there's nothing I love more than dressing up just to lie around the house. Good, harmless fun.

It breaks my heart that these vintage Foster Grant sunglasses I bought ages ago are comically oversized on my tiny face, but sometimes I wear them around anyways, especially when all my sunglasses from last summer are either scratched beyond use or just plain missing.

Also, I'm wearing the deer tooth necklace that my best friend made me for Christmas.
I keep trying to convince her to give me one of the pairs of antlers she's found and collected over the years, but so far no luck.

I go to CUNY too. I totally feel your pain. They really have a way of pissing people off.

you look really thin here. a nice, look-at-me-without-my-winter-layers thin.

i, on the other hand, am shamefully putting off trying my favorite dress from last summer for fear of it, um, having shrunk?

Really? I dunno, some anon lame-o made a comment about my looking thin in my last outfit post too. I'm pretty sure I weigh just about as much as I have for the last several months. At least, I sure haven't been doing anything different lately, except I stopped eating spaghetti four nights a week after I finally reached a point where just the smell of marinara sauce makes me wanna vom. Oh, and I ate almost a whole pint of Phish Food the other night? Maybe that's my secret?

Anyways, I mean, thanks and all. I just don't want anyone getting the impression that I haven't got my fair share of jiggle in my wiggle.

Oh, and I don't mean to imply that you were being lame! I know you only had good intentions. That anonymous comment just pissed me off, as all anonymous comments of that nature tend to do.

People shouldn't comment on other people's size. You look great!
Cute blog.

I don't necessarily think people shouldn't comment on other people's sizes, I mean, I've always felt that once you've made the decision to put yourself out there by starting up a blog, just about anything is fair game for comment territory (within reason, of course.)

What bothers me is that so many people choose to hide behind anonymity when they make such statements, which is why I have no problem with Suzy's comment. If you haven't got the balls to take responsibility for something you have to say, DON'T SAY IT. Period. It's such cowardly, disgusting behavior.

I saw that anonymous comment and thought that it was darn rude of whoever it was. But on a happier note - fab necklace! A friend of mine carves beautiful rings out of deer antler - I used to have one and they feel very warm against the skin.

Ahh, finally weather that supports bare legs! I think you look like a perfect summer afternoon (even if you never did make it out of the house). And for the record, I just got one of those "oh my, you're so skinny" comments too. Must be goin' around! I never bother responding to anonymous commentors. Have some cojones people!

Man, Suzy, you are a braver soul than I. I think the last time I went bathing suit shopping with my mom I was 11 or 12, and it definitely ended in tears...hers AND mine. God though, that reminds me...I need a bathing suit. Uuuuuuuuuugh. This time it'll just be MY tears...
